I contacted Ian after being let down at very short notice by 3 local plumbers, I needed to get a boiler service and safety check conducted quite urgently in North Watford. Ian was very flexible, and easy to communicate with. He managed to fit in my service within 2 days of initial contact, arrived on time and communicated throughout the process even up to receiving an emailed electronic receipt upon job completion. Ian has always provided me with a quick, efficient, and reasonably priced service when dealing with any break downs, upgrades or servicing my central heating system required.
He has been quick to react when needed, and rather than raise problems he has solved issues quickly and without fuss, in a professional but friendly way. Highly recommended.

"Whenever a boiler related issues rears its head, I am filled with dread. I hate the feeling that my ignorance in such a field could be exploited by somebody else's expertise! Our boiler inexplicably stopped working on Sunday night, whilst the remains of the previous days snow were still very much in evidence. I searched on-line for a local plumber and found Ian's number. I called first thing the next morning and Ian was with us within 2 hours. The problem was diagnosed very quickly, Ian left to source the relevant part and was back with us exactly when he said he would be. The new part was immediately installed and normal heat restored - to our huge relief. I am delighted to have found Ian on-line and relieved that I now have the details of an honest, reliable and efficient plumber on record. Ian Foster has recently completed various plumbing jobs for me all of which I am extremely satisfied, with both his reliability, fair charges and high standard of work. However, a special mention must be made for the installation of a MagnaClean filter on my central system, which Ian fitted after he completed a MagnaClense. It really has made such a difference and improvement to the efficiency of the system. I always felt that our central heating system had been slightly under- specified, as the radiators never reached a high temperature in the cold weather and seemed to have cold spots. This has now changed dramatically, so much so, that I have reduced the temperature on the actual boiler and I therefore must be saving money. I didn't know Ian before and took a chance on him from the look of his website and the testimonials. I am pleased that I did and would have no hesitation in recommending him for all plumbing associated work.
